[x] New content available button (on top of stream)
[ ] Update entry content after edit
[ ] Content pinning
[x] Activity stream
[ ] Content deletion

Why not just add a message bar notifying the user that new content is available and to refresh the page once clicked? I've seen a number of developers going this route of late, not the prettiest but gets the job done to an extent.

I'd suggest adding a button on top of the stream once new content is available, like the Load More button. The information, that new content is available is already received by the live system but not used by the stream.

When commenting like a chat, waiting 30 seconds to receive a notification and manually reload the new comments is really boring. Loading new comments in real time (like most chat app) would be a really nice feature.

I'am currently against auto updating the wall stream, since this may messes with scrolling position and or interfers current edits of content or comments. At least we need a good concept of auto updates and check for example richtext focus or perhaps only automatically update if the user is on top of the stream without richtext focus.
