Wouldn't it be fun if you could communicate across language barriers with common tags?

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

I found that the same topic was created by each user in a different language on our own Humhub server.

Describe the solution you'd like

the profile_field are able to set translate file each language. Is it possible to make it in the same way?

Describe alternatives you've considered

Sounds good. However, I would just suggest one fixed "virtual" translation category here, such as ContentModule.tags. Whoever wants could create translations here.

The translation manger should also take this into account somehow: https://www.humhub.com/en/marketplace/translation-manager/

The problem is that often you get content written in different languages by your space members and that content can't actually be specified as belonging to a certain language. When now using Google Translate or a search word you again probably would miss lots of those search results related to one topic and if you find it you can't translate those into your language (which makes the search results more or less unusable) because the translation module is not taking in account a change of languages a content has been written in and instead always uses the overall language of the site itself as a fixed language to translate from. When now have a page that is with an English-defined overall Language but your users add content in French or in Thai and Ukraine and Russian you might be able to find it described with the option above but you still won't be able to translate it to your language i.e. English! While all English content could still be translated to French, Thai, Ukraine, Russian, etc.

The Idea is great to have the ability to enter translations for keywords and search terms, that could perhaps even be done by utilizing an automated translation via Google Translate that then could be stored as a translated keyword (similar to how it is done in WP TranslatePress

With your suggestion @luke-, there might be a problem in search when ie. an English Language user is searching for the term "my special search term" and he gets listed all searches - that is fine. He even would get listed all those other language search terms but would that also be the case if now a Ukrainian has entered something in his language (that could be Ukrainian or Russian) but no Master search term (that would need to be in English as I understood your suggestion correct) exists?

I think it would be much better to really utilize the power of automated translation systems like GoogleTranslate and have all keywords/tags translated into all defined and enabled languages of a humhub site and then stored so they could be edited if really necessary (in most cases actually that would not be necessary. Storing those automated translated terms would be necessary to have only one time a request being sent to Google (or other automated translation services). Of course, when a translation had already been entered manually that also should not be requested and probably overwritten again by an automated translation.
