No way to delete a view in cloud.humio.com webui, even for admin #80

wknapik commented 5 years ago

An admin user should be able to delete a view without opening a support ticket. As far as features go, it doesn't get more basic than this.

Hi @wknapik. We are aware of the issue. Unfortunately only root users can delete views and repositories at this point.

mwl commented 5 years ago

As for cloud.humio.com you are more than welcome to reach out to support@humio.com with the name of the view. Make sure you are the only one left with access to the view.

wknapik commented 5 years ago

Hi @mwl. The point of this issue is to allow a view admin to delete it, without involving humio support. I can't think of a good reason to prohibit that.

mwl commented 5 years ago

I’m with you on that. I’m just offering an immediate solution.

Hi @wknapik thank you for the feedback. This is a very reasonable request. I'll circle this with our dev team and look at our options.

Thanks!

@andejens is there any update for this issue?

andejens commented 4 years ago

We are currently giving our RBAC an overhaul (including a UI) once this is done we are going to work on a few new permissions (including this one) So good progress, but no firm date yet. In the meantime - do you have a repo you need deleted?

This is possible now in the view > settings > danger zone area
