Launcher icon ideas, proposals

There is a chance that the icon of the launcher is going to get changed. There were a few proposals already, I'll link them. If you have any suggestion, feel free to post it here. Users are allowed to vote with 👍 , this might give me a better idea what people like.

FAQ:

• I do not have an idea if the icon is actually going to change
• I do not have an idea on any kind of ETA
• by posting a suggestion, you waive any rights for it, and I cannot be held responsible for anything regarding the design/icon (legal gibberish)
• as a proposal, a simple concept is enough
• if a proposal "wins" and actually gets added to the launcher, the author will be credited, unless he/she doesn't want to

If a proposal will "win", it will have to support:

• legacy, square icons for all supported densities (mdpi, hdpi, xhdpi, xxhdpi, xxxhdpi)
• dedicated circle icons for all supported densities (mdpi, hdpi, xhdpi, xxhdpi, xxxhdpi)
• adaptive icons, with proper background and foreground layer
• note: if a proper background and foreground layer is created, I can generate all the necessary icons from those one.

1/ Maybe you should try round icon @jbeguna04, I think most recent versions of Android are more going to push circular icons. 2/ I love the @ssnjrthegr8 design but I think it's too far abstract to see the double L. 3/ I think the @omamboo needs more simplification to comply to a Material design (less gradient maybe).

@abilyonegraphics I mean, the licence to your works. If @hundeva choose yours and implement it into Lean Launcher, I think it could be good if we know if he could use it without restriction (but with credits obviously).

@redking974 a CC 4.0 license would be enough I guess. @abilyonegraphics Well only one of our works shall be choosen. Other works will probably be wasted and you gotta deal with it man. This is how things are.

Actually I like the lean fluid Style. The lean-launcher curve style icon I think should probably just have 1 L and not that extra little attempt at an L at the end it was a good idea it's just that in my opinion when it came to pass it didn't end up finishing well

Oh! Well in your pursuit of Art those of us that are a little less artistically inclined may run into some confusion. But to be honest with you if it was a little less curvy I would have liked that icon the best of all. Also, I don't know if you only do icons for software companies or if you only do icons for this particular program but my friend and I have been working in the computer field for quite some time. We are a very very small company. As in there's only four of us who have been lifelong friends. But the fact is that we don't have a logo at all. And it's kind of strange because with the name of our company you would think that it would be very easy to come up with a logo. But none of us can draw. If you're interested and maybe some extra work, please feel free to give us a call. (removed)
