Pinch or Zoom with fingers causes Hang #112

I have the latest version and trying this out for a first time .... I've got 
simple and sample app 
running and even have VE working to pull tiles from their tile servers.

One problem is preventing my continuing - when you zoom in or out by using your 
fingers the 
application hangs.

Any ideas??
