Grid - Select entity / expand to view the same removes selection

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open grid
2. Select entity on left
3. expand to view entity
4. minimize view mode to go back to grid mode

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The entity should remain selected. If only single and same entity is 
selected it removes selection. In case of multi select where the entity is 
a part of selection it shows selected but the color changes to white
