Backup and restore not functional under openSUSE 12 64-bit #478

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Select Make Backup on Switchy Options page, Import/Export tab.

What is the expected output?

Backup file (SwitchyOptions.bak) should be created in profile directory.

What do you see instead?

1. New tab opens advising of inability to create backup file, e.g.:

file:///home/user/.config/chromium/Default/Extensions/caehdcpeofiiigpdhbabniblem
ipncjj/1.6.3_0/plugins/SwitchyOptions.bak%EF%BF%BD%EF%BF%BD%EF%BF%BD%7F

Error 6 (net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND): The file or directory could not be found.

2. Resulting file in profile directory is:

SwitchyOptions.bak????

Operating system:

Linux - openSUSE 12.1 64-bit, kernel 3.1.10-1.16-desktop

Browser:

Chromium Version 23.0.1255.0 (154635)

Error Log:

[14:56:06] [success] - Everything is OK

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

Restoring a backup is also not possible, as renaming the illegal file and
specifying it in the path dialog (e.g., /tmp/SwitchyOptions.bak) results in:

[14:37:25] [info] - Extension Info: v1.6.3[14:37:25] [info] - Browser Info: 5.0

I can't tell whether the backup file is complete or not.
