ssh tunnel beta stops working, but ssh tunnel works, after update

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open ssh tunnel beta. select global proxy, socks
2. Connect - It will connect and phone will vibrate
3. Try to open a webpage, and connection will time out

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect site to open, but something is wrong.
I am on android 4.0.3. Recently, samsung pushed an update on my note. The 
android version remains same(4.0.3). some DDL thingy changes. 
After update I re-rooted the device

Latest ssh tunnel/beta from market

ssh tunnel beta connects just fine. But somehow tunnel is not working
I installed ssh tunnel(non beta) and that works.

If there is a debug mode or something, do let me know, I will be happy to 
provide lots.
I use a samsung galaxy note in India
