@ssnell6 and @mollyfrn can you both please help clean up and organize all of the files within this repository?
Home directory: this should be pretty bare, including the README's, the data formatting table and field descriptions, and perhaps the env_data_sources, but not much more.
I've just deleted a number of figures (.pdfs and .jpgs) from the home directory that do not belong, but the rest of these files need to be deleted or filed appropriately.
E.g., MosquitoDB.csv and bbs_abun_occ.csv should both clearly be in the data/ subrepo.
What are mod.csv an dpredmod3c.csv? CT_long.csv?
Another folder that requires organizing is the output/plots/ folder. Perhaps many of these can be deleted (e.g. plots that were last created/modified in 2015...). Others can be organized into subfolders. In general, once there are more than 8-10 different objects, it can be useful to start subdividing them into relevant groups.
Don't be scared about deleting files! Just commit these deletions all at once with a relevant message ("deleting lots of old plot files!"), and it will be cake to revert back and find them if we ever wanted to.
And keep using descriptive names for filenames where possible. Ideally the directory and its contents will make sense to someone outside the project taking a look!
