how to obtain key for dendrscope 2 #13

Dear Daniel, I would like to obtain a key for registering the downloaded version of dendroscope2. Could you please provide informations? Thanks a lot in advance

Dear Stefano,

Dendroscope2 is no longer supported, please use Dendroscope3. However, if there is some specific reason why you want to use the old version, then please let me know and I’d be happy to send you a key…

Dear Daniel, Thanks for your reply. I know that Dendroscope2 is no longer supported, we are trying to install Dendroscope3 but we have a problem with JRE which is needed and we are not able to solve. So, if you can kindly provide a key for Dendroscope2 it would be great. I hope we will manage to sole the problem as soon as possible. Thanks a lot in advance

Dear Stefano,

just last week I moved Dendroscope 3 up to Java 11. (More precisely, the installers for MacOS and Windows come with their own Java12 runtime and the one for linux requires OpenJDk 11 or higher to be present).

Did you try this version? Dendroscope2 requires Java8 or lower…

I use both Dendroscope 2 and 3. I use version 2 because it allows to open some large trees that I cannot open with version 3. My Dendroscope 2 is not registered. Could you please send me a key to register it?

I must rectify: the Dendroscope version that allows to open some large trees that cannot be opened with more recent versions is 3.2.1.
