Google Maps links no longer working. #301

Please answer the questions about build version and network, will save
developers a lot of time !

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. send a link from google maps in chrome to an Android Nexus One running 2.2

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
This used to open the maps app (I'd set it to do so) and would locate the
address specified in the chrome browser. However, now it just gives a
notification on the home screen (new feature?) which contains the address - but
when I tap this - it does nothing - the maps app doesn't open.

What version of the android, in Settings -> About phone -> Build number (
ex. FRFxx ) ? If less than FRF50 - see the FAQ.

2.2.1

similar issue, but not exactly: a link will be recognized as a maps link, and
will open google maps, but it doesn't locate the address you sent.

details:
1) send an address to chrome to phone
2) expect a link on my phone to google maps, which when clicked displays the
address i sent in maps. Instead, i only see my current location, as if i had
just started google maps. i do recall this working in the past, but i recently
upgraded to the newest version of C2P.
3) HTC Evo 4g, Android version 2.3.3, Synergy(RLS 1)

I have the same problem that ForrestW mentioned. I noticed that in the
notification bar (I use the mode to open the links manually) I have correct
text with location/direction I was searching e.g. warsaw but once I open it it
only opens google maps with my current location.

details:
1) Tested on Chrome to phone, FoxToPhone and Opera to phone
2) Samsung Galaxy S2, Android ICS 4.0.3
