-Android 2.2.2
-Using Mobile Network
-Can see new messages on gmail without hitting refresh.
-I Don't use Talk application.

Having the same issue. Re-installed both programs after uninstalling them to my
web browser on my computer and on my phone. While attempting to connect to my
gmail account I get the "Error: Unable to connect". I have internet connection
and default settings for both programs on my browser and my phone. This issue
started some time between last Friday 11/4/11 and today 11/7/11

Same problem with Android 2.3. The problem appeared after I had to do a hard
reset of my cellphone.
All other applications are working correctly, but I get "unable to connect"
with chrome2phone.

So sad... because the application's so good.
