Smaller/horizontal clear all button #228

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
The "clear all" button takes too much vertical space; it would be better if it
was much smaller.
Maybe it could be added to a (smaller) top header also showing the total
notification count.
I wanted to have my lock screen with a clock widget, then the calendar and then
NiLS, however even with the clock hidden, the "clear all" button would waste
quite some space... And it also look ugly that way.

1. currently you can hide the clear button, and use "Monitor Clear All" feature
to make the android status bar clear button clear also the notifications on
NiLS.
2. can you please send a draft screenshot of what do you want, I can't see how
do I add a small clear all button without overlapping with the notifications
list.
3. Doesn't WidgetLocker has an option to overlap widgets, so the clear all
button will appear above the upper widget?

Hi, about the "Monitor clear all" feature: it doesn't work at all! I think it
might be a problem related to my phone (Galaxy S4 i9505); I forgot to mention
it earlier because I am reading so many bug reports about this device that I
thought it was already known.
I am sending you two screens that will hopefully explain better what I mean; I
quickly rearranged the widgets in Widget Locker and removed the clock with
photoshop, so forgive me if it look a bit messy.
As you can see from the first screenshot, overlapping a big vertical button
over another content-rich widget is not very pretty and there is also a lot of
wasted space beneath it.
In the second screen I designed the header to better use the space; it could
also be used to display more info, maybe with something along the line of
"Missed-it" (10 Emails, 2 Facebook and so on).
Also, but that is only my personal opinion, it looks much prettier.
