There will be new updates? Ideas for improvement. #106

I would like to ask if you plan to continue with the updates. Not many clients for Instagram work anymore except for these Inssist (Chrome add-on) Grids app (no longer releases updates, older versions still work) IGDM (not working but supposedly a new version is in the works according to the developer)

It would be nice if you added a "Ghost mode" to the app that goes on and off and the peer doesn't know if I've read the message.

Saving photos and videos from directs disappearing messages is absolutely famous in Indirect so far works which I wonder. Except everything can be opened but photos somehow won't save I don't know why, videos save they do.

I will hope for more updates and adding new features, thanks a lot for that !

Indirect is currently in maintenance mode. That means there is no active development for new features. I still update the app from time to time for minor bug fixes. The main reason for this decision is because of the increasing complexity of developing a client for a closed platform such as Instagram. It would cost me too much time to juggle between refactoring the aging codebase, adding new features, and fixing breaking changes from Instagram.

That being said. I think this "Ghost mode" feature is quite straightforward to implement. I will try to take a closer look but I can't make any promises.

Ghost mode is now available in version 2.9.0

Thank you so much for adding it. Ghost mode works great, tested.

I still have three small "bugs" otherwise everything works perfectly.

1. Bug - Downloading disappearing videos from chat works, and when i want to download it, it gives me a path to save the video. But when I click on download photo, it doesn't give me the download path.

2. Bug - The second thing, rather just a visual accessory. Is it possible to differentiate between the photo icon and the video in the chat ?

3. Bug - When I download a video from a chat, is it possible to download it from a so called source in its original quality ? I tried to send a 9Mb video but then I only downloaded it in 2,5 Mb from the chat.

That's all I've come across, otherwise everything works for me. It's more just details. And if you can do something about it, it'll be great. Thanks a lot for your time.

I can think of one more thing to improve. When I download stories (photo or video) from someone, is it possible to download with the username of the account in front of the file?
