Mouse focusses wrongly after window resizing #190

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open the application
2. Resize the window
3. Drag any object

I've attached a screencap video that demonstrates the issue. I assume this is a
bug in the way the application co-operates with Linux's window managers.

I'm running DIY LC 3.23.0 on LMDE with java from official Oracle packages:
java version "1.7.0_09"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_09-b05)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.5-b02, mixed mode)

Seems like the cursor focus gets set only on application launch. After that the
focus stays the same even if the wondow gets resized. This is quite an annoying
issue when drawing anything more complicated that needs more room on the screen.

Good video mirosol - I have exactly the same problem on version 3.27.0. It
doesn't make any difference whether I use jre1.7.0_21 or java-7-openjdk-i386. I
think the Sun Java 6 was ok but that is no longer available.

I have now started a topic on the Linux Mint forum.

There is a workaround - drag the window to the top left hand corner of the
screen before resizing it.

This is a known problem with Linux Mint MATE, caused by a Java bug

Seems to be fixed if you install from the GetDeb repository.
