Block individual users #6

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

Block individual users should be added back in. Pidgin does not have this
capability, or at least it doesnt work properly. It only hides your status,
but doesnt actually block the message.

I've been scouring the net for something to block messages from "AOL System
Msg" as the built in pidgin functionality does not do this.

I'd like to second this for exactly the same reason. My only option is to block
*everyone* not on my list and I'd rather pick and choose. I wish I was a
programmer,
a specific plugin just to block AOL System Messages would be worthwhile and
appreciated by many I'm sure since none of these botspam/privacy plugins show
up in
google searches without digging.

chris: could you please add a copyright note to your code (GPL), so that i can
integrate it into the privacy-please plugin?

The latest SVN head can now block individual users again (right-click on a
buddy,
select "Block (privacy please)"). There is no GUI to manage the blocked
contacts yet,
but those of you who feel adventurous are kindly invited to see whether this
works
the way you expect it to. You should see the people you block in your prefs.xml.
