Unable to Change Serial Number/Mac/MfrID #11

Any idea why I wouldn't be able to change the MAC/SN/MfrID on a G-010S-A? All three ritool commands return a message to the effect no rights to change. If it makes a difference I put the GPON in a media converter and SSH'd in as I don't have a network card to put it in.

ritool set MfrID ABCD ritool set G984Serial 012345678

Answering my own question. Gave it another try, this time using PuTTY rather than Windows built in SSH client and it let me change the values. Doesn't make any sense why it would make any difference, SSH should be SSH. But apparently the device doesn't like Windows SSH.
