Existing Virtual Desktops' names are not automatically applied

Hi guys,

I'm running 4.0.0 beta.8 in Win 10 19044. When setting up the program, I had to manually enter the names of my Desktops in order to have accurate switching notifications. Is this the expected behavior or is there a setting I missed?

This seems to work or was fixed recently, except it's not displaying by default, I had to switch it on in Notifications options (Other options: Simple notification mode AND Display a desktop name). The desktop names were already populated properly in this options screen, just not in the notification. Maybe these options should be checked by default? Using 4.0.9 beta.9

@Ekus thanks! Are you running Sylphy on Windows 10 as well?

I've upgraded to 4.0.9 beta.9 but I still have to input the desktop names manually. What happens in your setup if you rename a desktop using the native controls? Does SylphyHorn reflect the changes automatically / on restart?

@juanmalunatic yes Windows 10 21H2 Build 19044.2130. I hit Win+Tab to show the desktops, and right click to rename them natively in windows, and the new name is applied in Sylphy, I saw it update in the open Sylphy settings window immediately, and also after closing the Sylphy window it still gets applied (I get the correct popup after switching desktops using Ctrl+Win+Left or Right.

Strangely, this started working after a batch of Windows Updates (Win 10, Version 10.0.19044 Build 19044). So I'd say this is fixed for me 😅
