As shown in the picture, the lower left corner of the taskbar is empty, which is suitable for displaying notification. Please providing X and Y coordinates in the settings, so that we can place the notification as we like.

Maybe let the user "simply" choose lower/left; lower/right side and additionally ("respect taskbar". If that is turned off, the name is put over the taskbar)
