What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I tried to mount ext2 fs on USB key, the system supports only ext3 fs
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I need to mount root fs with ext2 fs, before any other externel kernel module
is loaded. Could you add ext2 fs support to the kernel ?

ext3 has journal and therefore frequent writes to flash USB key makes it
