2 years ago The gradient is a part of stock Discord, and there for added readability. Accessibility (easily readable text in this case) is one of the things this theme strives for.

If a Discord has a transparent image as their banner, there is an awkward gradient that doesn't match or line up with the rest of the layout. I believe the whole thing needs to be moved down a bit to meet up with the bottom of the announcement bar.
