Task 5 Expand HydroShare’s Capacity for storage, outreach and user engagement. 5a. Leverage Hurricane Harvey and Irma RAPID support [NSF Award #1761673] to supplement available operational hurricane data (if available). 5b. Develop single online toolkit that is functional for different events, various models, and in any disaster locations, but with one HydroShare web hosted page for Puerto Rico data access: Almost Like Maria 5c. Engage students in real world projects with high impacts for public good.

Describe the Project Lead's qualifications for executing the project. Please be sure to include relevant expertise in areas of domain knowledge, social sector issues, programming and/or analytical skills, mentorship, team management.

Please identify the stakeholders in the project, including any entities that are involved in, or affected by, the project and its aims. If applicable, please describe the roles of any stakeholders who will be directly involved with the project (for example, DSSG projects often involve government agencies, non-profit organizations, private companies, user communities, etc.). *

Submit a 500-700 word summary of the project and objectives. The ideal proposal will clearly identify the datasets involved and the research question(s) to be answered. Please also explain how the technical component of the project is critical to delivering exciting new findings. *

The student fellows in our program have diverse backgrounds and skill sets. Please describe 1) the kinds of tasks you envision your student team under-taking; and 2) the types of backgrounds or expertise that would be most helpful for your project. *
