Collaborative research and public data distribution in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria (2017). This effort focused on distributing public data for the research and education on water systems in Puerto Rico. Our aim is to build infrastructure to prevent disasters like Hurricane Maria.

[ ] seven community change from the original study, who left, who died, why -- how did the system water use change -- communicate this to the communities
[ ] communicate Fernando's results, more intense sampling for lead - follow up on getting data on Hydroshare
[ ] use Ishi's version of the presentation that had Graciela's data
[ ] Add data management and sharing to the course - health related information - communicating and using the data.
[ ] Follow up with Apple to get internet accounts, emails, tablets, so that they have it at the office and for the workshop (at old school).
[ ] Goal is to use this platform to send their operational data that they share with the users and health department. They need to do this by law, but there is not currently infrastructure. Build a general utility that works for any utility.
[ ] M community is having problems with turbidity after storms 1-2 wk shut down. 1. Check the weather 10-12 hrs ahead. 2. Go up and shut down the system so that it is bypassed. Problem - they don't know what weather to look at it. Use HydroShare to check the weather and operate the system more efficiently. Need watershed delineation, weather forecasts, check with NWM model setup. Avoid contamination of the system.
