Collaborative research and public data distribution in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria (2017). This effort focused on distributing public data for the research and education on water systems in Puerto Rico. Our aim is to build infrastructure to prevent disasters like Hurricane Maria.

Non-PRASA community water system (~50-100 households) has surface water source cut-off or with poor water quality after a hurricane or flood event.
Develop Model scenarios to understand drinking water source impacts of extreme events working with local scientists and experts.
Test scenarios and impact assessment with community
Develop disaster preparedness plan with community: long term, two-week long term forecast
Provide paper maps of watershed and drinking water system for no-energy post-disaster situation
