Purchase not recognized by app (Android) #70

Closed mashkioya closed 10 months ago

I just purchased the monthly Pro plan, but I cannot get the app to recognize the purchase.

In the Play Store under subscriptions, it says "Open this app to confirm your plan before 18 Aug 2023. Unconfirmed plans will be automatically cancelled." I click "Open app," and nothing changes; it says my current plan is still Free. All I get under music and slides is "Purchase needed" and restoring purchases doesn't do anything. If I go under "Pricing" and try to subscribe again, I get the Google error "You're already subscribed to Pro (Hymns for Worship)."

I use Graphene OS btw, not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.

Thanks for all your work on this, Rody!

Try 1.3.0! And on 2.2.10 you need to restart the app to get it to show 👍🏼

mashkioya commented 10 months ago

I already updated it; my app version is 2.3.0+716

What does the pricing page show?

I also would occasionally see the message about opening the app too.

I'll look into it and see if there is a missing piece

Does Graphene OS have fully google play support?

mashkioya commented 10 months ago

I got it to work! Presumably Graphene does have full Google Play support, but sometimes it has some quirks. What I did was enable "Exploit protection compatibility mode" for Google Play services, and that did the trick. The description on that option says "Improve compatibility with misbehaving apps by using Android's standard address space size and memory allocator"

Thanks for the update!

Well, I guess I rejoiced too soon---it has kicked me back to the free plan once again, and no matter whether I have that Graphene setting turned off or on I can't get back to the Pro plan. Here are screenshots of the Pricing page:

Ok! I'm going to look into if there is anything specific I need to do or enable 👍🏼

This issue seems to fixed as of the 2.3.3 update. Thanks again!
