i think it was because of compatibility issues in a library between android 2.2
and 2.3

What I do is to turn the light on using torch app and then take the picture

mmmm I downloaded the lastest snapshot available last night and it is still
happening. I can't turn the flash on from the camera app.
So, I am sorry Wkp, but with all due respect it is not fixed.
