In most of the cases AdaptiveGrid.TryGetVertexIndex was used with AdaptiveGrid.Tolerance as tolerance parameter. And even if you would want to use larger parameter - function applies tolerance for each coordinate and return first point that has all coordinates less than tolerance away, so it's not suitable for bigger tolerances anyway.
