Solved this bug tonight! Everything looks so much better without the flickering.

Keep up the good work, I love this project =)

Yes, sorry, I'm not very experienced in terms of git / github yet. I only comment to stuff with diffs in the comments ;) I really have to look into git and pull requests some time (so much to do/code, so little time ;)
