I'm facing an issue where photos taken with the camera don't have the highest possible quality the device offers. For example, the size of an iPhone X photo when its taken with the camera app is 4032x3024 in landscape mode.
However, when taking a photo with the Gallery camera, the image size is never larger than 1920x1080. After the picture was saved to the camera roll, I exported it to my MacBook and confirmed that the size is really 1920x1080.
I couldn't find any configuration for setting the quality of the camera photos. Is this behavior normal? Can anyone help me with this?
Tested with iPhone 6s and iPhone X, running iOS 12.
