Is it important to point or recommend that your environment variables should be stored using https://github.com/bkeepers/dotenv ?
I don't think we should recommend point out that dotenv should be used, as this is completely optional, and there are other ways to store env variables. I guess we could point suggest it as a possibility, but I don't really think it's necessary, as I (like to) think people already have some personal preferences. :smiley:
You could compile a small list of possible solutions for storing the environment variables and state that the choice is really up to the user. I think that could be useful for people who are new to Rails.
