Create an Event

To create an event, first of all, click on the Events button on the nav bar which will take admin to the event page.

Now, follow a few simple steps to create an event :

• After moving to the event page, click on the Create+ button situated on the right top of the page.

• Slide bar will open with different fields, in which the admin has to enter some details about the event and create actions for the event.

• The first field is the introductory and mandatory field called General Configuration, here admin has to enter Name, Banner URL, Start date, End date, and Tags for the event.

  • Event Name: Name of this event.
  • Banner URL: Enter the URL of the banner image.
  • Start Date: Date and time when the event will start.
  • End Date: Date and time when the event will over
  • Tags: Selecting tags, provide details about the events and make it easy to locate the related event that has the same tag.
  • Notification: Enabling this will create an action for the subscribe notification.

• Another field to enter is Referral Configuration. Click on theReferral Configuration accordion, which contains two textboxes Referee point and Referral point.

  • Referee Point: Here Referrer gets the points according to the points we put in.
  • Referral Point: Here the person who has been referred, gets the points according to the points we put in.

• Now let's add one action as an example from the Social configuration field (This field helps us to get the participants to join socially via Twitter, telegram, and discord). So click on the Social Configuration accordion.

• Choose the Twitter Follow action type by clicking on the Select Social Action type dropbox.

• Enter the Title of the action in the Title textbox, Twitter handles (do not put @) in the Social handle textbox, and score ( act as points for the participant) in the Score textbox.

• Click on Add button and action will be created.

• Here we come to the last step. Simply, click on the Submit button and the admin will get the created event in the form of a tile in which Event ID, start and end date, Event URL, and Participants(0) will be displayed.

  • Event ID: ID of created Event.

    • Start and End date: Displaying the Start and End date of the event.

  • Event URL: URL of the created event. Click here to visit the event. Admin can also share it.

  • Participants(0): Number of participants who participated in the Event. Click here to see the Participant's details and select winners through lottery.

  • Edit Event: To edit the created event.

  • Project status: Shows the status of the event, if it is green then the event is open and if it is red then the event is closed.

  • Search event by name: This is a search box where we can search the event by its name.

  • Search events by tags: This is also a search box where the event can be searched by its tag names.

  Some points to pay attention to

  1. User cannot recreate an event of the same name.
  2. If users do not have an event banner, they can put any valid URL in the text field.
  3. User can't delete the created event.
