Extending the View class #9

Hi,

I am trying to add some more functionality to the View classes, e.g. adding 
alpha transparency and / or rotation.

What is the suggested method of going about this?

Sorry it is marked as "Defect". I do not seem to be able to change it now. I am 
not familiar with this issue queue tool.
