devine_XYZT() is the real meat here. The rest of it is my slightly clumsy use of the tidy verse. This should get us the right relations between data variables and their coordinate variables though.

What do you think? Is this duplicative of any of your existing functions in scope? Don't really feel like I'm following your vision completely here?
