This task is basically a set of ideas how commercialisation of DPress could be funded. I moved it to final DPress document that summarizes product definition, market focus, financing options, etc. - just to keep it for future reference, should the team decide to come back to commercialisation focus.

Task Summary
Collect ideas that can be transformed into hypothesis and set of tests that answer question - How to grow this product/service?
To Do
Part 1 - Explore Funding Options
[ ] Grants
probably can continue with Grants. Is there a way to grow them substantially?
is EU funding a possibility? - POSSIBLE WITH THE RIGHT PARTNERSHIPS and it's being considered (Andi)
[ ] Donations
always can continue with Donations, but are theere ways to grow them substantially?
[ ] Bank Loans
bad idea, unpayable at current state, could jeopardise rest of operations
[ ] VC funding
I don't see 100x narrative for usual VC.
Any past contacts or discussions with any "impact focused VCs"?
leaning towards opinion - that VC route is more distraction than viable alternative
NOT TOTALLY OFF THE TABLE, BUT WOULD NEED SEPARATE CONTAINER (company)
and don't think team would be excited about it - (Andi: good tip, multi-stakeholder cooperative with new class of shares that are sold to investors)
- [ ] Token funding (include some blockchain/crypto components)?
no opinion on this one at the moment, but could be difficult for Coops to be involved, most likely would need to be a separate company/project/DAO?
no crypto enthusiasts on the team atm (my mistake - there's whole Cosmos team and other people, just not in DP team)
[ ] Crowdfunding - ordinary well known crowdfunding kickstarter type
seems plausible atm, enough communities Hypha/Sutty can tap into for creating buzz around crowdfunding
it would need sleek looking product as outcome and value proposition attractive for early-adopters of everything
Part 2 - What growth are we after - $$, users, usage, data volume, etc.
...
Part 3 - What potential growth levers do we have?
... from $$ to special product features
Part 4 - Can I quantify the market size or we need to test and see?
....
Part 5 - What experiments can confirm growth levers work?
....
Let's see where we'll get to before aiming for more.
