How do we reference external ontologies / classification schemes (for instance within the biomedical field) within our tag editor? People don't want to recreate a complex hierarchy of 100s or 1000s of entities just to be able to tag with our annotation tool. This would include (probably) an autocomplete capability, most recently used tags, and also would include the external URI of the specific tag term that was referenced when applied.
If the ontology is well published I would hope that we should be able to have them put the URI of the ontology and derive the rest.

Not sure I get this :-)
I would like to offer a simple interface for community users/reviewers to annotate a set of legal documents with a limited set of tags. I would like to offer a template or checklist to users so that they will go through the document checking for each of the features.
For example: 1) Request to user: Annotate the company name, country and company id in the document (the contract)? 2) Request to user: Tag the clause on liability in the document (the contract)
This feature applies more to your first

Than your second:

We've definitely encountered this last one before, particularly in the legal community. I don't think we have an open issue for it at the moment.
Agree @dwhly
Should I open an issue for the second?
Please do.
Closing as a feature that will come down the product prio and design pipeline.
