Possible: the text we've collected includes hidden text that the user doesn't see.
Hi, when updating our annotations on our website here (http://lobid.org/resources/api), we encountered the same problem.
In our case the annotations are not viewed with the extension but embedded in the website.
First annotation should be for "@context"
and the second for "hbzId"
when using location sort. But the second is for "contribution" which appears a lot later on the page.
I am using Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon, problem occurs with Firefox and Chrome.
Dan's example references this annotation: https://hyp.is/K5xTlCKLEeyGhztaVxNcLw/github.com/bokand/web-annotations

Steps to reproduce
Expected behaviour
The first annotation on the page, at the top of the page, which was made first-- should be sorted to the top of the sidebar.
Actual behaviour
Notice that the first annotation (by David Bokan) does not show first, but is oddly about a third of the way down the list of annotations. (This one: https://hyp.is/NlQXLKjiEeu_kF_VQyo18w/github.com/bokand/web-annotations). I know our location sort is not perfect, but if it functions at all it should probably function in this case.
