[WPD] Decide on UI for authentication #23

Should there be any authentication UI in the sidebar? If yes, should it do a pop-up flow or navigate the main page?

No UI in sidebar

Alternative modification: just a sign-in link, but opens in main frame.

I say yes, there should be a UI, and or should open a pop-up.

I'm sorry, @csillag. This issue is meant to be related to single sign-on for W3C. It's not our decision, really, though we can offer guidance.

Decided for pop-up for the moment because it's the most general solution. We can expand to username/password or such in sidebar if FxA has an API we can use for it. In the meantime, we're moving our own auth to a pop-up, though, so this is closed.
