blackscreen after session start #2358

Upon starting Hyprland (i.e prior to device boot) the system goes unresponsive after a few seconds, the screen goes black and a stationary cursor is displayed on the blackscreen. If I manually kill the compositor with pkill Hyprland in a separate TTY, I can use it as usual.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Run on an Intel IGPU (disabled nvidia)
  2. Log in to Hyprland, possibly with greetd autologin
  3. wait approximately 10 seconds
  4. Regret your life choices

Expected outcome: I use Hyprland to complete my daily tasks. Noted outcome: Hyprland goes unresponsive after a few seconds.

Try updating hyprland and see if the issue still occurs for you? Sounds like a similar issue that was fixed in f877d68f.

I'm on the latest commit, built from source.

Got a new laptop, and I no longer care about this issue.
