name a (f2p) game so I can test it, please. Never had that issue.
I tested a few f2p games. The issue is related to the GPU being at 100%
A game that could help you test is Chaos on steam.
well if the system is at 100% it's obvious it will slow down, no? I'd recommend to disable blur during gaming.
try disabling blur, mouse is a CPU thing anyway
Found a fix: Have obs open in the background I don't know why it works but it clearly works at stopping the bug from occuring with sea of thieves
weirdest fix ever
no clue. your PC might be haunted.
Maybe also try running your games in gamescope? It's worked wonders for me.
@taylor85345 How do you run a game under gamescope on Hyprland?
I run most of my games out of steam using this Launch Argument
gamescope -ef -H 1080 -- %command%
-e
for Steam Integration, -f
for Fullscreen, -H 1080
for 1920x1080 window resolution.
For non-steam games, I usually just add them into steam and/or lutris with the same launch arguments.
@NormalFall can you still reproduce this without gamescope?
Nope it got fixed around 6 months ago. Maybe check is your GPU or CPU hits 100%? I don't remember the issue quite well since its old but i think it was related to that. Also i just noticed that it was only happening to proton games.
If your problem doesn't match up with this you should open a separate issue @romanstingler
@NormalFall THX for the reply, I was just looking at old open issues and wanted to know if we can close it. If it doesn't occur anymore, please close it. THX
Mouse will run at around 20 fps while the game is running at 100+ fps Issue applies in most fps games outside of Minecraft and CS:GO
note: Trackmania 2020 has this this problem but doesn't have any mouse restraints
