emails sent in english but web site is french #70

Hi, My e-shop is both set up in both french and english, the language is set to French, but still the order confirmation email is sent out in english to the customers. This is not what I want :-) Can you please help me to get these emails sent out in French ?

What happens is that the email content text is in a mixture of English and French language, as you can notice in the attached example (Bruno Chaperon Commande échouéee (2512)).

The attached example is for a ‘cancelled order’, but the same issue affects the ‘new order’.

Also, in case of ‘new orders’, the invoice is 100% in English although it should be in French (the French invoice is actually generated and associated with the order in the woocommerce orders list).

It would be great if you could help me further!

Yes, for both subjects and headings.

What happens is that the email content text is in a mixture of English and French language, as you can notice in the attached example (Bruno Chaperon Commande échouéee (2512)).

Can't see the attachment. Just post a link to the image.

The attached example is for a ‘cancelled order’, but the same issue affects the ‘new order’.

Order user reported issues with this email as well. I didn't implemented translations for Cancelled Order, Order on-hold and Order Notification, because i don't use these in my use-case. But I guess some payment gateways make use of it. This maybe your problem as well. I will implement the support for these emails as soon as I have a bit of time.

New Order email should be working fine. I have experience cases where email template overwritten by themes or other plugins create issues with the translations. You should check if any of the emails are overwritten. Otherwise, try disable all plugins and see if the email translations work ok. Activate one by one until you find the culprit.

I just refreshed the extension with version 0.29 and did new testing.

It works fine now for the new order notification as well as for order cancellation – THANKS !

Only failed order email (when payment failed) are still in mixed FR/EN languages as you can see below or attached. If you can solve this as well, it would be great, otherwise don’t worry, this is a minor issue.

Hi Antonio me again.

We just received an new order and again the order notification is sent out in a mixed language EN/FR and the invoice is in english version… (see attached).

I am confused now, as the fake order I placed myself was OK…

Looking at your email below, you suggest “You should check if any of the emails are overwritten.”

Can you please tell how I can check this ?

Please don't reply to the email to respond. respond here in the GitHub. Otherwise it is very difficult to follow the discussion and all your attachments get lost.

To check if you have any template override go to Admin -> WooCommerce -> System Status. At the bottom of that page you have a section called Templates.
