Problem with automating download of file with username and password

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Navigate to url that points to a file. Note that this url should require
 username ande password
2. I have specified the username and password with
myWebClient_FileDownloadExAuthenticate
3. and AutomationTask_PerformAuthentication

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

It should start the file download. but open up a page with this message

This program cannot display the webpage 
Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet. 
The website is encountering problems. 
There might be a typing error in the address. 

What you can try: 
Check your Internet connection. Try visiting another website to make sure
you are connected.  

Retype the address.  

Go back to the previous page.

The website is temporarily unavailable. 
The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable. 
The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain. 

What are the OS and IE versions?
Windows Xp Sp2 and IE 7

What version of the product are you using?
1.0.0.6
