first run: various bad default window sizes #58

On my laptop, first run problems:

Once manually sizing them once, they're saved as a hidden preference, it seems.

Tested on 4.0.6 with Retina display.

I experience these on a fresh install of 4.0.7 on Arch as well, on a T420s which I don't think is hidpi.
