There are quite some improvements in V3 including the awesome fixes you added yourself :-)

Now if you connect to NWC (only Alby implementation currently, I need to see about Mutiny) it will set the connection name as "noStrudel".

In v3 the provider is no longer injected as a global variable by default - but nostrudel relies on this so I set it.
