(Fixed in Rife 4.12) Rife 4.11 minor artefact regression #40

Hi Thank you for Rife 4.11. I am always happy a new model version is released.

I found a slight regression for artefacts in one of my test files. There are a few more minor artefacts than in 4.9, very similar to Rife 4.6. But besides that it looks like it will behave similarly to Rife 4.10 for GPU usage.

The only difference between 4.11 and 4.10 is that more epochs are trained. We can only observe that some test examples have gotten better each time, while others have gotten worse. Overall, the proportion of good results is slightly more.

Hi. This is what I see so when using Rife with SVP. Rife v4.6: Very light GPU usage with a few horrible artefacts. Fast movement issues. Rife v:4.7/8: GPU +20%. Same artefacts and fast movement issues. Rife v4.9: Big improvement in obvious artefacts and slightly improved fast movement. Rive v4.11 GPU +20% (+40% over 4.6) with some artefacts returning from 4.6.

So Rife v4.9 has the best balance for me overall.

Thanks

Just tested Rife 4.12. It fixes the minor artefact regression I saw in v4.11 so thanks. Other than that, GPU usage seems to be about the same as 4.11.

Thanks again 👍
