This may be a different bug or issue, but when I load the new app on a different device (iPad) and when Danny also reloaded the app it seemed there wasn't a connection to the server since no content appeared. But on my phone there was a connection since I could play around with the content.

How did you get the app onto the iPad? Is it in test flight? On Mar 24, 2014 12:35 AM, "i8code" notifications@github.com wrote:

In checking today the new version of yapzap still doesn't work on Danny's phone and on my iPad (under yapzap on test flight). It seems they both aren't connected to the server while yapzap on my phone works. Both screens are blank except for our welcome app which also doesn't link to anything.

Do you have any idea what the prob is? Also could there be a notice to people when this happens saying check back soon?

Have no idea. Thought it might be an SSL issue, but the site seems to be okay (https://yapzap.me/). I've added an alert just in case when you cannot connect to the server. My suggestion would be to restart the device and see if that helps. I'm wondering if there's a cached bad session in memory that wasn't connected to the server when it was created.

Hmm okay will try again.

We deleted yapzap and completely redownloaded it. It's very strange for me too.

That's not good. That was happening to me too on my android phone only. Can you contact the rapid SSL guys and ask them why the cert isn't being verified on mobile devices? Sorry jason I moved it to a new issue but forgot to copy you. I spoke to the company today. See below.

Subject: [YapZap] Users open to blank screen (#33) Reply-To: i8code/YapZap reply@reply.github.com

Moving this to a new bug since it seems to be related to the SSL.

I contacted RapidSSL.com,https://knowledge.rapidssl.com/support/ssl-certificate-support/index.html And spoke to Geoff in sales (who sits in South Africa!) on the phone,Geoffrey_Glover@symantec.com, then Chris via IM

Chris said the Intermediate Chain does not appear to be installed, specifically: Below is a link to our documentation for installing the certificate in AWS (Amazon Web Service). Step 8 in the process provides a link for the Intermediate CA Certificates Bundle that will need to be downloaded from firefox (saved as txt in step 8) and applied in the "Certificate Chain" form on the installer. Once the Intermediates are installed and the Chain of Trust is present, the site will be compatible for most browsers and mobile devices. https://knowledge.rapidssl.com/support/ssl-certificate-support/index?page=content&actp=CROSSLINK&id=SO21323

How did you get the app onto the iPad? Is it in test flight? On Mar 24, 2014 12:35 AM, "i8code" notifications@github.com wrote:

This may be a different bug or issue, but when I load the new app on a different device (iPad) and when Danny also reloaded the app it seemed there wasn't a connection to the server since no content appeared. But on my phone there was a connection since I could play around with the content.
