Map is "laggy" when zooming #17

I think this is some kind of "feature" of the mapbox, but zooming is slow and feels laggy.

Btw, why not using OpenStreetMaps as a map layer?

It was easier to deploy like this in this skin. Also OSM’s graphics are not so nice in my opinion.
