CIT (Custom Item Texture, https://github.com/sp614x/optifine/blob/master/OptiFineDoc/doc/cit_single.properties) allows for items to have custom textures/models based on things like their NBT or damage value. Tested in 1.12 version. Would be nice if BackTools could work with it too instead of the texture changing to default when tool goes on back.
