Rendering the torchgun as an item will deactivate Nvidia Antialiasing and Anisotropic Filtering that is applied through the Nvidia Control Center.
This happens when the torchgun item is loaded while using a really high res texturepack.
I know that this issue doesn't affect a lot of players and I don't know if it's really worth the effort to fix this, anyways, just wanted to mention it.
