Texture issue #70

I do NOT have optifine, my Minecraft version is 1.12.2, and whenever I place a portal, I get a 3x4 discolored texture of all the items in the game. Minutes later, my game crashes.

(The discoloration is the portal's color)

A crash log or client log and screenshots would help.
