In normal use, yes - you need screen extending. One screen being the projector
and the normal monitor being used for configuration.
However, technically, no. You can calibrate and configure the system all on
one screen. This process is a bit akward though! :)
May I ask what you are trying to do?

Hi
Thanks for replying
All I am trying to do is implement your software
But I can't seem to get it working
After I draw the surface
I can't seem to be getting envelope type logo nor red lines
I am using my laptop and projector for it
And I can only one screen when I start your software

The envelope only happens when you are projecting. Try the "turn white" button
to check which screen you are affecting.
You need to make sure you set up your projector as an extended display in the
screen resolution dialogue. That should enable it to detect both monitors
attached to the computer.
You may also find that running it on a laptop can be a bit slow. I recommend a
processor comparable to an i5 or later for best results.
